Congressman John Fleming, M.D., released the following statement about the the remarks President Obama made yesterday concerning Obamacare:

“Mr. President, let’s start with the obvious: Louisianians want to know what you’re going to do to stop your disastrous health care law. We found out this week that nearly 93,000 Louisianians will not be able to keep their current health insurance under Obamacare. They don’t want to hear that you 'regret' this is happening, they want you to do something. They don’t care that you’re 'sorry they are finding themselves in this situation.' They were forced into this situation by your law and by the regulations your administration has written to implement Obamacare. You can’t spin this anymore. Louisiana wants to hear that the time has come to stop this failed experiment in socialism, and work with Republicans on real health care reform that will lower costs and not put government in the middle of the doctor-patient relationship.

Dr. John Fleming is Chairman of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs and is a member of the House Armed Services Committee. He is a physician and small business owner and represents the 4th Congressional District of Louisiana.
