Fleming Calls for Sebelius Resignation in Letter to President
Secretary Sebelius has mismanaged the Obamacare rollout and is in over her head.
Congressman John Fleming, M.D., released the following statement after calling on President Obama, in a letter signed by 33 Members of Congress, to ask for the resignation of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius:
“It’s clear that Secretary Sebelius has mismanaged the Obamacare rollout and is in over her head. Before the train wreck is allowed to continue… before more taxpayer dollars are spent trying to fix what’s already wrong… and before the Secretary continues on her damage control tour, it’s time for the President to admit that, despite three-and-a-half years to prepare, his HHS Secretary has dropped the ball on this and needs to step down.
“The 33 signers of this letter are all House Republicans who want accountability on behalf of American taxpayers. Maybe now, as more Democrats seem to be comprehending that Obamacare is a disaster, they'll join us in demanding that the Obama Administration get to the heart of whose responsible for the ongoing train wreck. Secretary Sebelius must have seen it coming and should have warned the administration to delay Obamacare. Instead she pressed on with assurances of success. Her failure to manage the rollout does not bode well for the future of a system that is already costing jobs and pushing up health care costs. She needs to resign.”
