Fleming Defends Long-Range Bomber Funding

U.S.Representative John Fleming, M.D. (LA-4) spoke on the House floor Thursday to oppose an amendment by Congressman Ed Markey (D-MA) that would have cut funding for the development of a new long-range bomber to replace the Air Force’s aging fleet of B-52s and B-2s. Rep. Fleming’s remarks are included in the video below:
Note: The FY 13 National Defense Authorization Act passed the House today by a vote of 299-120.
Dr. John Fleming is Chairman of the Natural Resources Subcommittee on Fisheries, Wildlife, Oceans and Insular Affairs and is a member of the House Armed Services Committee. He is a physician and small businessowner and represents the 4th Congressional District of Louisiana.
